The blue Sapphire a mineral compose of the gas
oxygen and the light metal
(Aluminum).
The marvelous color of Sapphire is due to the
traces of a metallic oxide incorporated in the stone as an
impurity.
Its luster is glass like and is scientifically
termed vitreous .
However, this gem stone formed in molten rock
found around the world from alkali basalts sometimes known as
flood basalts that are widely spread in volcanic
regions.
These basalts contains nodules containing
sapphire or volcanic “bomb” of olivine (peridot) that are thought
to represent broken fragments of the Earth’s upper
mantle.
Sapphire including other gem stones are buried
into the alluvial deposits and exposed to surface during floods and
excavation work by human beings and other
constructions.
