The Alto aeroplane is an all-metal, two-seat, low-wing, cantilever
monoplane.
The wing has a main and a rear auxiliary spars. It is
equipped by the ailerons and the slotted flaps.
The wing-body attachment forms a wing centre section, which
is firmly placed into the fuselage. The wing main spar is
connected to the wing centre section by six bolts and the rear
auxiliary spar is connected by means of a hinge.
The ailerons and the wing flaps are of semimonocoque construction
and are hinged to the wing by means of two hinges.
The fuselage is of semimonocoque construction and has a
bottom and the side walls reinforced by diagonal stiffeners. The
dorsal is of oval section.
The tail unit is of all-metal structure and has a standard
configuration.
Aeroplane control consists of elevator, ailerons and rudder
control surfaces, wing flaps control, elevator trim control and
brakes control (the brakes control is in the left side only). The
manual control is of a wheel-type and deflections are transmitted
by means of chains, push-pull tubes, and cables. The pedal
control deflections are transmitted by cables. The manual control
stops are located on the control wheels console and inside of a
centre tunnel. The pedal control stops are located on the rudder
control hinge. The elevator is equipped with a trim tab.
Landing Gear is the tricycle, nose type with the nose landing
gear steering. The main landing gear wheels brakes are operated
by the hydraulic system, by means of pedals (in the left side
only).
Power Plant: The Rotax **2 UL/ULs four-cycle engine with the Fiti
three-blade propeller.
